Ben is starting off his coaching career this season with NTGH.  He began his playing career in the Detroit suburbs, starting in the local house leagues, moving up to travel hockey at 10, and skating with AAA teams around the state, until joining the Redford Unified Varsity team as a sophomore.  After 3 seasons, the last as team captain, Ben began skating with the Junior A Motor City Chiefs.  Soon after, he decided to attend college at DePaul University and joined their Division III Club hockey team.  He played the next 3 seasons with the team until forgoing his senior season to focus on graduation.  Ben has also been an active USA hockey official since high school, working his way up to officiating many high level games including high school, juniors, and college club level teams.
