Gary was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and started playing hockey at the age of 13.  He immediately took to goaltending.  He played throughout Chicago until he headed north to play Junior hockey in Alberta, Canada.  Gary later went on to attend Medicine Hat College on a hockey scholarship.  After many years of playing the game, Gary’s passion is now in coaching.  He specializes in goaltending instruction and has served as a bench coach for various area high school and travel programs.  Gary resides on the northwest side of Chicago with his wife and two sons and is entering his fourth season with New Trier Girls Hockey.
